WARRANTY POLICY
What's covered by Imprint Miami, what's covered by the material manufacturer, and what conditions can void coverage.
Last updated: 2026-07-06
At Imprint Miami, we use professional-grade materials, proper surface preparation, and industry-standard installation methods to produce high-quality vehicle wraps, decals, graphics, and commercial branding installations.
This warranty policy explains what is covered by Imprint Miami, what is covered by the material manufacturer, and what conditions may void warranty coverage.
1. Imprint Miami Workmanship Warranty
Imprint Miami provides a limited workmanship warranty on qualifying installations for defects directly related to our installation process. This workmanship warranty applies only to the original customer and original installation.
- →Vehicle wraps, partial wraps, commercial graphics, and large-format vinyl installations: covered for 90 days from installation completion. Covers lifting, peeling, bubbling, or edge failure caused by installation error. Imprint Miami will inspect the issue and, if approved, repair or replace the affected area at no charge.
- →Small decals, stickers, cut vinyl, window graphics, and basic spot graphics: covered for 30 days from installation completion. Covers installation-related peeling, lifting, or application failure.
2. Manufacturer Material Warranty
Imprint Miami commonly uses premium wrap and graphic films from manufacturers such as Avery Dennison and 3M. These manufacturers provide their own limited product warranties, which may vary depending on the exact film, laminate, ink system, exposure angle, climate zone, surface type, and maintenance.
Avery Dennison Graphics products are covered by a general product warranty stating that their products are free from material defects. Avery Dennison also offers the ICS Warranty Program, which covers compatible film, ink, laminate, and production systems when all required components are used correctly.
Avery Dennison MPI 1105, a premium cast printable wrap film commonly used for vehicle wraps and fleet graphics, is listed by Avery Dennison as being backed by the Avery Dennison ICS Warranty and technical support when used with approved components.
Manufacturer warranty coverage is determined by Avery Dennison and is subject to their published warranty terms, product bulletins, approved material combinations, and claim process.
3. 3M Warranty
3M provides limited warranties for eligible wrap films, print films, paint protection films, and automotive films. 3M states that its wrap films are designed for durability and that coverage depends on the product, installation, exposure angle, and warranty card terms.
3M wrap films may have warranty coverage of up to 8 years for vertical exposure and up to 3 years for horizontal exposure, depending on the specific product and application. Horizontal surfaces include hoods, roofs, trunks, and other areas receiving stronger sun and environmental exposure.
3M also provides the 3M MCS Warranty for eligible printed graphics systems when approved 3M films, laminates, inks, printers, and production processes are used.
Manufacturer warranty coverage is determined by 3M and is subject to their published warranty terms, product bulletins, approved material combinations, and claim process.
4. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover failure, damage, or visual issues caused by:
- →Pre-existing paint damage, peeling clear coat, rust, dents, body filler, oxidation, sun damage, or poor repaint work
- →Vinyl installed over repainted panels, unless paint condition was approved in writing
- →Paint or clear coat lifting during removal
- →Damage from pressure washing, automatic brush car washes, harsh chemicals, degreasers, solvents, waxes, ceramic coatings, or improper cleaning
- →Vehicle accidents, scratches, impact damage, vandalism, road debris, or abrasion
- →Normal wear and tear
- →Fading, discoloration, staining, or weathering caused by sun exposure, pollution, salt air, fuel, oil, chemicals, or environmental fallout
- →Edge lifting caused by picking, rubbing, scraping, or aggressive cleaning
- →Vinyl failure caused by excessive heat, engine heat, exhaust heat, aftermarket parts, or non-standard vehicle surfaces
- →Installations over plastic, rubber, textured surfaces, unpainted surfaces, raw metal, low-energy plastics, chrome, PPF, ceramic coatings, or compromised surfaces unless specifically approved
- →Temporary graphics, customer-supplied material, or reused vinyl
- →Graphics installed over seams, deep channels, compound curves, rivets, door handles, mirrors, bumpers, or complex contours where relief cuts, seams, inlays, or edge wear may be expected
- →Color changes, gloss changes, or finish differences between replacement panels and existing aged vinyl
5. Paint and Surface Disclaimer
Vinyl wraps and graphics are applied to the surface condition provided by the customer. Imprint Miami is not responsible for paint, clear coat, primer, bodywork, or surface failure before, during, or after installation or removal.
Vehicles with repainted panels, failing clear coat, rust, oxidation, chips, scratches, or body repair may experience reduced adhesion or paint lifting. Wrap removal may expose existing damage or may pull weak paint or clear coat.
6. Customer-Supplied Artwork or Materials
If the customer supplies artwork, files, vinyl, laminate, decals, or printed graphics, Imprint Miami is not responsible for print quality, color accuracy, material defects, adhesive failure, file resolution, spelling errors, sizing issues, or manufacturer warranty eligibility.
Customer-supplied material may not qualify for Imprint Miami workmanship warranty or manufacturer warranty unless approved in writing before installation.
7. Care Requirements
To maintain warranty eligibility, the customer must properly care for the graphics. Improper care may void warranty coverage.
- →Hand wash when possible using mild soap and water
- →Avoid pressure washing edges, seams, and corners
- →Avoid automatic brush car washes
- →Avoid waxes, solvents, degreasers, abrasive compounds, and harsh chemicals
- →Clean fuel spills, bird droppings, tree sap, and contaminants quickly
- →Store the vehicle indoors or shaded when possible
- →Avoid picking at edges, seams, or lifted areas
8. Warranty Claim Process
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing with:
- →Customer name
- →Invoice or job number
- →Date of installation
- →Photos of the issue from multiple angles
- →Description of the issue
- →Vehicle make/model/year, if applicable
Imprint Miami will review the claim and may require an in-person inspection. If the issue is determined to be covered under Imprint Miami's workmanship warranty, Imprint Miami will repair or replace the affected area.
If the issue appears to be a manufacturer material defect, Imprint Miami may assist with the manufacturer claim process, but final warranty approval and remedy are determined by the manufacturer.
9. Warranty Remedy
The sole remedy under this policy is repair or replacement of the affected graphic area, at Imprint Miami's discretion.
This warranty does not cover:
- →Loss of business
- →Vehicle downtime
- →Rental vehicles
- →Towing
- →Removal of unrelated graphics
- →Full rewraps when only one area is affected
- →Paint or body repairs
- →Refunds after completed installation
- →Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
10. Final Warranty Terms
Warranty coverage is valid only when the invoice is paid in full. Warranty coverage is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer and original installation.
Imprint Miami reserves the right to deny warranty coverage if the issue is caused by improper care, surface failure, environmental exposure, customer-supplied materials, physical damage, or conditions outside of Imprint Miami's control.
